Valentine's Day

There wasn't much that Ryan could do to top last year's Valentine's Day (surprise visit to see me followed by a wedding proposal at the Sacramento Temple), but this year was certainly a little adventure.  We spent the weekend dog-sitting for my aunts and so we had a chance to spread out a little bit.  We ate pizza and watched Mama Mia and read.  We love just being around each other, even if all we're doing is reading!  When we woke up on Valentine's Day Ryan asked if I wanted my present.  Of course!  What a silly question.  We agreed that we would then exchange gifts.

Below is Ryan opening his card and gift from me.

I love this smiling/laughing face of him.  Oh, and check out that morning hair!
Our chiropractor has been encouraging us to wean ourselves off of stomach sleeping and to sleep on our sides.  I bought Ryan this contour pillow to use in between his legs as he sleeps on his side.  It's something that he's wanted.
Papa Murphy's was doing heart shaped pizzas and I couldn't pass that up!
The Jelly Belly card Ryan gave me.
On the inside were written these coordinates.  Ryan was going to make me work for my gift.  He'd brought a GPS device with him (of course) and so I set off on my little geocaching excursion.
Waiting for it to accumulate satellites.
It led me into the backyard.  There is a bunch of bark and bushes so I knew I had to be in for something good.
After standing around and turning around for about 5 minutes, trying to get closer, I asked Ryan if there was a name for this cache.  He thought about it for a minute and said, "Oriental firecracker."  I looked around.... we were standing in a somewhat Oriental gazebo thing.  Then I saw the little pagoda thing below.
I lifted the lid, and inside I found a pill bottle.
Inside the pill bottle was this piece of paper.  A clue!  It took me a minute or two to figure out where I was supposed to go next: SHOWER!
There was nothing in the downstairs shower so I headed upstairs.  There inside the shower was a single rose and a box of chocolates.  Ryan new I wanted a box of chocolates (but see the confession below).

Confession: I have been on doctor ordered bed rest this week and on one of those days Ryan left his phone at home.  While I was just lying around, the alarm went off on his phone.  I looked at it to see what it was: Reminder: Box of chocolates for Kersina.  So, I knew the sweets were coming my way.  I just didn't know how.  He's so cute.  I love you Ryan.

that is the sweetest ever!! I'm so glad you have found each other. I know the feeling of doing nothing together but just wanting to know the person is there breathing in your life next to do reading. It's the best!
