We finally had our first family snow trip! We've moved up to this beautiful area and it's only appropriate that we take advantage of all that the Tahoe area has to offer. Luckily we only had to drive about 10 minutes to get there! What takes the longest is getting everybody all dressed and bundled up! It was a beautiful day to play in the snow and we had a great time.
So Benson wasn't really digging it at first. We had to walk a little ways from the car to the hill where we wanted to play and that was a bit of a treacherous walk. It's been at least a week since we've had a good snow and the snow that was there was more icy. To make walking matters worse, the snow was at least knee-high and some steps I'd take my foot would sink right through the snow, while other steps were completely safe. Ryan and Zoe were a little ways ahead of us and Benson was crying for Daddy but was stuck with waddling Mommy. I was a little concerned about the uneven footing and my 8.5 months pregnant body. All that walking wore me out.
Daddy and Benson coming down the hill.
He was liking this ride.
Sledding pros!
Zoe flew down the hill and she loved it. In the picture above you can see only her feet sticking up over the sled. She hung on all the way to the bottom of the hill.
How I spent most of my time - sitting. There's not much you can do in uneven snow when you're already so off balance with a big belly!
This girl loves the snow!
